After 25 years of program management and more than 2,700 funded projects, the FAQDD can attest to the importance of establishing strong partnerships to ensure the success of a sustainable development project, particularly in the tourism sector. Who is Amélie Saint-Laurent Samuel
Amélie St-Laurent Samuel holds a master's degree in forestry science, and worked for the Canadian Forest Service and then the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune. She then joined the Nature Québec team, where she played an active role in gaining recognition for residual forest biomass heating as a tool in the fight against climate change and for economic development. In this capacity, she was called upon to carry out communications and business development activities across Quebec and internationally. Since 2019, she has used her experience in mobilizing professional networks to help the Fonds d'action québécois pour le développement durable (FAQDD) create new partnerships and structuring projects, as well as publicize its successes.
