Who is Richie Karaburun
Dr. Recep "Richie" Karaburun, aka "Dr. K," is Clinical Associate Professor at the Jonathan M. Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism, NYU School of Professional Studies. A recognized expert with over 20 years' experience, he helps travel companies develop growth strategies and integrate innovations such as metaverse and travel technologies.
Dr. Karaburun has led key companies such as Roomer, RADIUS, GTA North America, and American Tours International, where he optimized revenue, organizational performance and productivity. Since 2013, he has taught at NYU, receiving several honors for his teaching excellence and impact in the global hospitality industry.
His research focuses on hotel distribution strategies, social media and cultural differences in service quality, with publications in trade journals and media such as The New York Times and Skift.
